SadhanaOriental Meditation and Christian Prayer

My experience of Sadhana sessions

Blessings of Sadhana

The verse from the Bible has come true.
I have so far attended some sessions of Sadhana: SadhanaI, a one-day session and Sadhana II. Every time I attended these sessions, I received blessings in various ways that God is always with me.
Today I have enough time to sum up all my experiences that I received through these sessions, and I would like to write something about my revelations which I, at last, was able to get after several spiritual practices of Sadhana II.
What impressed me most during the Sadhana session was that I was led to be reminded of my sad and painful experience in my life, and in these sad and painful experience, Jesus Christ Himself visited me and encouraged me. When Father Uekuri, who is the organizer and instructor of the session, told us that we would experience God’s presence through meditation, I was really overwhelmed with joy and expressed a feeling of gratitude when I was led to get aware that Jesus Christ really visited me in the scene of my sad and painful experience.
As I had such a sad and painful experience before I became a Christian, that is why I was all the more amazed and overwhelmed by Christ. Before that, I was isolated from the world and shut myself up within me, and day after day I felt quite beaten down as if I was walking along the beach alone, leaving footprints on the sand. In this loneliness, Jesus Christ Himself visited me and deigned to be walking with me. My joy was beyond description.
“Jesus Christ is with me and is supporting me!” “When we are most helpless and in distress, Jesus Christ is sure to come and encourage us. This is my Christ. This is the real Savior that I want Him to be.” I thought I was finally able to know God’s grace and believe in God’s existence. “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made in weakness.” (2 Corinthian 12:9) At last I was really able to realize this verse.
Another point I would like to emphasized here is that the blessings of Sadhana do not only come from individual meditation exercise. They are to be obtained by attending a discussion with other participants over the same meditation practice. Here we can learn a great deal to listen to other participants. They talk their experiences which are different from my viewpoints and feelings. One example I would like to mention here is that there used to be a participant who was in deep sorrow. I witnessed she was completely healed down through the session. Here we can see the Holy Sprit work properly. And here we can see the verse from the Bible come true. “For where two or three come together in my name, there was I with them.”(Matthew 18:20)
