To pray with body (taking a breath)
[28] Receiving blessing of Holy Communion through our body – 2 (Praying for behavior filled with love and wisdom)
This prayer is based on No. 26 and No. 27 in the “Prayer with fantasy” section and No. 27 of “To pray with body” section.
After completing the preparatory prayer, we fully meditate on the image of Christ’s body staying in our heart, as described in the previous chapter.
Then, we fully mediate on the image of Christ’s body staying in the area between eyebrows, according to the method described in the previous chapter.
Thirdly, we imagine that Christ’s body moves to the lower abdomen, and ask for the blessing of power from the body of Christ.
We imagine well that the body of Christ stays in the center of that beautiful light in the lower abdomen. With the beautiful light, God’s power from Christ’s body expands across my lower abdomen, and to the diaphragm and chest, and then to the throat and head. God’s power from the body of Christ fills my entire body. God’s power from the body of Christ and the beautiful light pours out of my body and fills the room I am in, and then the entire earth, and the universe.
Let’s stay in God’s power from the body of Christ. God’s power eliminates my weakness, fear, cowardice, and shyness.
So far, we asked for God’s love (love of bread) from the body of Christ that stays in our heart, and then awakening / awareness / wisdom from the body of Christ that stays in the area between the eyebrows, and then God’s power from the body of Christ that stays in the lower abdomen. How wonderful it is to pray that Christ’s body brings together these three into one.
Here is how we do it: We pray that the body of Christ firmly connects the love in our heart, awakening/awareness/wisdom in the area between the eyebrows, and God’s power in the lower abdomen, and pray that our behavior is always filled with God’s love, awakening, awareness, and wisdom. Let’s pray repeatedly that Christ’s body firmly connects the love in our heart, awakening/awareness/wisdom in the area between the eyebrows, and the power in the lower abdomen, and that our behavior is filled with God’s love, awakening, awareness, and wisdom.
