Contemplation in action
 ーLandscape in my heartー

[5] Focusing on one matter

Let’s assume you are working on a challenging matter.
When “contemplation in action” is attained, you can focus your mind on one matter. Regardless of whether you are good or bad at it, or whether it is going well or not, you continue your work, aiming to attain your initial goal. Regardless of whether it is interesting or not, or it is exciting or not, you continue your work without letting your attention distracted, once you decide that it should be done.
If you have to take care of another matter in the middle, you handle it instead. Once it is finished, you go back to your original mission.
This is different from obsession. You have relaxed shoulders and gentle eyes while you focus on one thing in front of you.
When you attain results in “contemplation in action,” you normally have energy. You handle many matters in your work and daily life. But for now, you see only one thing. Many other matters are placed outside your mind for now. After the matter is handled successfully, you start taking care of the second matter without delay.
You focus on a matter carefully and respectfully.
As a result, you attain results at high levels. You also handle relatively many things in a calm manner.
You also have advantages when you need to work on what you are not very good at, or when you need to work with a person you are not on good terms with. If you keep this basic direction, you tend not to lose confidence but handle a situation favorably. And you are likely to attain steady results. You make good choices and work on a challenging matter, trying to work with God in a peaceful and careful manner.
